59th Christie 7s, Aug 15 – 17 2025, RFUEA, Nairobi

Christie 7s is Kenya’s and Africa’s premier rugby 7s club tournament. First played in 1964 it is amongst of the oldest and most prestigious rugby 7s tournaments in the world. Christie 7s is owned and delivered by Kenya Harlequins Football Club, one of the most successful, admired, and respected sports clubs in Africa. The 60th edition in 2025 will feature four tournaments in one.

Men’s Tournament – Div 1 and Div 2

The top men’s team in the country battle of the crown. Div 1 teams play for the Christie 7s 2025 championship. Div 2 teams play for promotion to Div 1 as part of the player pathway strategy for rugby 7s.

Our History

Christie 7s is named in honour of Alex ‘Sandy’ Milne Christie, a legend of the game. He was a rugby player, a rugby referee, and a rugby administrator. He played and refereed in Nairobi, Kenya, Mombasa, Kenya, Kampala, Uganda, and Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. He served as President of Kenya Harlequin FC, President of The Rugby Football Union of East Africa (RFUEA) and Vice-President of Wasps RFC in London, England.
